Being a versatile photographer, I appreciate that San Diego has many opportunities to photograph different things. One of my favorites is food photography. In the past, that has always meant photographing culinary creations by some of the areas top chefs. Recently I had my first taste (so to speak) (more…)
Culinary photography has taken me to many different locations, food trucks, pop up restaurants, dinner on the roof top… it seems like location and experience are all people are looking for from their dining theses days. Having been to many of these events,
Professional Photographers of America – 2012 International Image Competition, Sean Capshaw – Bronze Medal Photographer (all 4 submitted images merited).
Each year, I along with thousands of other photographers submit my work to Image competition. For me it starts at my local photographers group (PPSDC). Images that do well move on to a state (PPC) then regional level. The strongest of those images are sent along to the Professional Photographers of America International Images Competition. For the last 2 years i have merited 4 out of 4 images winning Bronze level photographer of the year. There are my 2012 PPA award winning images.
No animals or models were injured in the making of these images.
Opinions expressed in imagery does not necessary represent models personal choices… it’s art people, enjoy it for the visual and the story.
I have had the pleasure of working with Cassandra as a model on several projects and now with the launch of her personal training business we collaborated on a set of images for her modeling portfolio. Real women can have curves… see it, know it, and love it.
Having grown up around dancers (my mother is a ballet teacher) I have an appreciation for all the hard work a dancer does to prepare for recital. It is one of the greatest things about dance photography, seeing all the hard work come together. Routine, sets, lighting and costumes all add to the vision. Dress rehearsal is the first time that the instructors vision becomes clear. All the pieces falling into place as part of the master plan. Here are a few images from the 2012 recital for SDA. Along with a team of talented instructors, Miss Jenny has grown her Signature Dance Academy into a thriving studio with hundreds of students. From what I hear, the first class is free so if you (or your child) ever dreamed of being a dancer, go try it out.
